Nā Lei Makalapua
For the lāhui in diaspora
The Mainland Council of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Club (MCAHCC) charted in 1989 by the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs is one of 5 district councils that being ‘Oahu, Hawaiʻi, Maui and Kaua’i. This Council represents Hawaiian Civic Clubs formed on the continental U.S. and Alaska. We are Nā Lei Makalapua whose purpose is to be the voice at the table for Native Hawaiians living beyond the shores of Hawaiʻi.
Manaʻo Mai Ka Pelekikena
E komo mai to Nā Lei Makalapua - Mainland Council of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs website. As an Association of Hawaiian Civic Club member, we aim to create connection pathways for our kānaka on the continent. Our council’s purpose continues to offer support and serve the hundreds of thousands who now live in the diaspora. Our mission is to bring together our collective, encourage our kānaka to engage in their home states and be an educational resource for those who have been misguided. Nā Lei Makalapua continues to bring awareness and a reminder that no matter where we are in the world, Hawaiʻi will always be in our hearts.
